No filters?

  1. Hi to all,

I've recently applied to German market shopping.com API. The account was approved within 3 business days and I really was surprised about the speed process. Unfortunately I cannot say the same thing for the UK market to which I applied. Could you tell me why it does so long to approve the account (I know that first you should approve the account and then I should apply for the API to be approved) : Because honestly it's the same type of script I am using for Australia market (whose API is already approved and it works for 5 months), only the categories and translation may be different. So not sure why does it take so long just to look over a website. The site for UK market is www.shophawk.co.uk. For US I am waiting for API approval for more than a week now. The site for US is www.b2cshops.com .

Now my main question is about the filters for German market. My site is www.vergleichpreis.com the same as www.realhotprice.com (Australia market). The latter one works very well, including filters.
My question is: do you offer filters for the German shopping.com API like you do for the other APIs? because if you go to the links below (actually you can choose whatever category you wish):
http://www.vergleichpreis.com/notebooks (add to this url at the end "?debug_url=true" to see the url to xml page) -> http://www.vergleichpreis.com/notebooks?debug_url=true
So if you go to http://sandbox.api.shopping.com/publisher/3.0/rest/GeneralSearch?apiKey=441d408c-8426-40ac-859f-f5383ff27b84&trackingId=7000251&categoryId=9007&showProductOffers=true&numOffersPerProduct=50&numValuesPerAttribute=20&numAttributes=50&numItems=20&pageNumber=1&keyword=
there is no filter there. Why does that happen ?

    Thank you for your support,
    Crisa

**Note: please disregard the lines above referring to b2cshops.com (shopping.com API activation for USA). I've just received a message on my email that the API was activated. Thank you.

    Hi Cristina -

Each country is managed by a different account manager. I've forwarded this onto the UK account manager.

Regarding the attributes, you can control the number of attributes, the number of attributes with values, and the number of values per attribute. You simply need to include the parameter to control the second one - 'numAttributesWithValues=X'.
