How is the Quality Discount Factor calculated?
The exact algorithm is proprietary, but the basic formula for determining publisher’s revenue is:
Publisher Revenue = Merchant's CPC rate x Number of Leads x Publisher's Quality discount factor x Publisher's Revenue Share
** Note that based on this formula, Shopping.com’s revenue is also reduced if our partners do not deliver good quality traffic to the merchants. With this initiative, our (SDC, Publishers, Merchants) interests are now aligned.
